The ancient collection of villages that make up Ushguli is largely untouched by the modern world due to its inaccessibility. Considered the highest continuously inhabited settlements in all of Europe, it sits at a breath taking altitude of 6,900 feet. I hired a local to take me to the isolated village up the rough dirt road from Mestia.
