The sound of the flamingos was deafening as they grazed in the shallow water of Ngorongoro crater. The pink coloration of the feather of the birds comes from the red pigment in crustaceans and algae they eat, causing a wide range of colors from white to dark pink. I snapped a photo of the beautiful scene with the walls of the crater in the background.
