I hired a craftsman to make me a leather duffel-bag to carry the souvenirs I had bought throughout the month I was in Africa. We picked out and bought the Masaai leather, and I documented as the craftsmen cut and sewed my bag. The bag maker has been making bags for over 50 years, and worked slowly and meticulously as I photographed the process. The whole process took over six hours as the and finished after the sun had set.
