The hot sun baked the back of my neck through my head scarf as we headed through the sandy ergs of Southern Morocco. The pounding of the camels hooves acted like a beat on the fine sand. I called ahead to Kate ahead of me and captured her mysterious gaze behind the linen as we headed into a different world.
