The crunch of the snow of my feet left me disconcerted as I crossed the glacial snow bridge over the raging river beneath my feet. The river had carved a twenty foot arch through the glacier and overflowed with the snowmelt from the spring season. I snapped this photo looking back toward the Ushguli villages, with the church just visible in the distance.
