The mountain city of Aroumd is known locally for its walnut and cashew trees that covered the hillsides of the Toubkal valley. I visited this picturesque town about five months after a devastating earthquake that shook the mountains and destroyed many of the homes and nut trees. I snapped this photo from one of the exposed pathways along the village, with a local cat in frame.
