The intricate plasterwork is a signature of Moroccan craftsmanship, and is deeply tied to Islamic ideas. A madrasa is a place of study, for young scholars of the Quran to deepen their understanding of the holy work. Each one of the windows opens to a study room where the students would live, looking out over the beautiful tiled courtyard.
